Regular: June 1 – August 4, 2024
Resident: $225 / Non-Resident: $275

Late: Registrations after August 4th will be placed on a waitlist and will be accepted as room permits  Resident: $275 / Non-Resident: $325

Multi-Child Discount: Each family receives $25 off for each additional child registered.

AGE DIVISIONS

USA Softball has changed the birth date cutoff for division determination. There is a temporary option for players that fall within the Sept 1st – Dec 31st birthday range to stay with the players with birth dates of Jan 1st – August 31st, but we will reach out to those impacted families to discuss this option.

6U – Players born between 9/1/17 – 8/31/19

8U – Players born between 9/1/15 – 8/31/17

10U – Players born between 9/1/13 – 8/31/15

12U – Players born between 9/1/11 – 8/31/13

14U – Players born between 9/1/089– 8/31/11

SNACK BAR

ESGS requires all families to work at the ESGS snack bar shifts for each child registered. There is an option to buy out your shifts.  The cost is $200 per player to buyout and can be paid for during online registration.  If buying out you must make the payment during registration.

GAME & PRACTICE SCHEDULES
Fall season has one practices & one game per week.  The game could be one game, or one slightly longer game or a double header. If we have enough teams we will try to keep games in El Segundo. If there are an odd number of teams in the division we will schedule games with teams outside of El Segundo so that each team can still play on a weekly basis. If we don’t have enough teams we will play South Bay Inter-league and there will be less ES vs ES games.



ESGS games and practice schedules won’t be published until after registration closes and team formation is complete.  We are unable to guarantee practice days/times.

UNIFORMS

Team jersey and socks are provided by El Segundo Girls Softball.  You will need to provide black pants, helmet, glove, cleats and a bat.  Fielding facemasks are mandatory for pitchers in all divisions and are highly recommended for other positions.

REFUNDS

Upon written request, refund in full (minus credit card processing fees) will be granted prior to team formations (approximately August 15th). No refunds will be granted once teams have been formed. (NO EXCEPTIONS)

SELECT TEAM(S)

A Select program will be offered. It is not guaranteed that each division will have a Select team. Select participants have the option to play only on the Select team but it is highly encouraged to play on both the Rec team and Select team. There is an additional fee for Select when you opt to play both. Schedules should not conflict and Rec has priority over Select

REGISTRATION PRIORITY 

El Segundo Girls Softball has worked hard to develop as a league and we have grown tremendously over the past few years.  Unfortunately, we have both outgrown our infrastructure and unintentionally deviated slightly from the mandatory requirement of having El Segundo residents/students be the large majority of the league.  In order to maintain our league in good standing with the City of El Segundo and continue to access the extremely limited softball facilities, we will need to initiate a program where priority is given to El Segundo residents and/or students of El Segundo schools. We are not anticipating a big impact on who is able to play with our league but we wanted to be transparent with the process that we will use to maintain our good standing with the City of El Segundo. 

Priority is considered based on the following:

  • El Segundo Residents
  • Board members in good standing
  • Managers in good standing
  • Played for ESGS in Spring 2022 or earlier and attend El Segundo schools
  • Players who are not residents but attend El Segundo schools
  • Played for ESGS in Spring 2022 or earlier and do not attend El Segundo schools
  • Players who are not residents and do not attend El Segundo schools

We will be working diligently to place all girls on an ESGS team and will notify players by August 31, 2024 (or earlier) regarding their ability to play with ESGS this spring. Full refunds will be provided for any player who we are unable to accommodate based on the above.

We are not happy about needing to do this, but without field space, our league will cease to exist.

The Field Hotline phone number

Please call the Hotline if it is raining. Information on the Field Hotline is updated by 2pm each day, and tells us if the Rec Park and/or Richmond fields are closed for the day. The Middle School field is controlled by ESGS, and signs will be posted at the field if it is closed.
